Dr. Candy Akers, DVM

Dr. Candy Akers earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 2009 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware. Her experience includes companion-animal nutrition, chronic disease, allergies, autoimmune conditions, cold laser therapy, wildlife rehabilitation, and emergency wildlife response. She combines conventional veterinary knowledge with a whole-animal perspective to help pet parents understand their options and recognize when individualized veterinary care is needed.
